TikToks, tokenised.

Buy any TikTok the way you'd buy a coin. Its like count is the price: get in at 20 likes, and if it goes viral, the earliest buyers split the pot.

Videos people are buying

Every market runs for 72 hours from its first buy.

Earliest buyers

Ranked by how much the video grew after they bought. Payouts are estimates until a market closes.

How it works

  1. Paste a TikTok

Any public video becomes a market. Its live like count is the price. The first buy opens a 72-hour market.

  2. Buy it with SOL

One wallet transaction puts your SOL in the pot and stamps your entry price on Solana, so “bought at 20 likes” is provable.

  3. Get paid if it pops

When the market closes, the pot is split by how much the video grew after each buy. Earlier and bigger wins more.

The payout

your share = SOL in × ln(likes at close ÷ likes when you bought)

  • Your profit is paid by people who bought after you, at a higher price. That's why early wins.
  • A buy only earns if the video grew after it.
  • 5% of each pot is the fee. The rest goes back to callers.
  • If no buy grew, everyone gets their SOL back minus the fee.
  • Counted likes are capped at 30% of views, so bought likes don't pay.

Three buyers, 1 SOL each

The video closes at 50,000 likes. Pot 3 SOL, 2.85 SOL after the fee.

Bought at 20 likes2,500×1.58 SOL
Bought at 900 likes56×0.81 SOL
Bought at 5,000 likes10×0.46 SOL

The 5,000-likes buyer lost money even though the video grew 10×: two people got there first.

Questions

Where do the like counts come from?

From the video's public TikTok page, read by our server. When you buy, the server signs the count it just read and that stamp goes into your transaction, so nobody can fake getting in earlier. Private, deleted or age-restricted videos can't be read or bought.

What stops people buying likes?

Counted likes can never be more than 30% of the video's views, and only growth after you bought counts. Pumping a video you bought also pays everyone who bought it before you.

Where does my SOL go?

Into the Clipcap pot wallet, in the same transaction that records your buy. Every buy is public on Solscan. When a market closes, payouts are sent from the pot to buyers' wallets.

When do I get paid?

Each market closes 72 hours after its first buy. Payouts go out after the close, based on the counted likes at that point.

Can I sell before it closes?

Not yet. Unlike a coin, there's no selling mid-market: your position is held until the market closes, then the pot is paid out.

Can I lose money?

Yes. If the video doesn't grow much after you buy, or lots of people bought before you, you'll get back less than you put in, or nothing.

Why can't I buy the example videos?

They're made up, to show how markets look before there are enough real ones. They disappear once three real markets are open.

Is this made by TikTok?

No. Clipcap is independent and isn't affiliated with TikTok or ByteDance.
